Over the past 25 years, Dr. Simpson has established herself as one of the leading experts in women’s health care. She is a Certified Clinical (Bone) Densitometrist and specializes in educating laypeople and health care professionals about the importance of osteoporosis prevention and alternative bone support programs. She teaches seminars, workshops and webinars to help people understand the diagnosis of osteoporosis and osteopenia with an emphasis that bone density testing is only one part of the equation when considering bone health. She outlines how to build quality bone with nutrition and healthy digestion as well as exercises that can build and maintain bone mass.

Her clinical experience and her multi-disciplinary approach have enabled her to educate thousands of laypeople and professionals about some of today’s most common health challenges for women. From 1984 through 1997 Dr. Simpson maintained a successful chiropractic practice. In 1994 she co-founded the East Bay Menopause and PMS Center and the Osteoporosis Diagnostic Center in Berkeley, CA. Together, these centers included chiropractors, medical doctors, and acupuncturists. This integrated and holistic approach allowed patients and doctors to work together to combine the best options from alternative and Western medicines.

Today, Dr. Simpson maintains a private practice in Berkeley, CA where she sees patients, both men and women, who have been diagnosed with osteoporosis. She also sees patients who have hormone balance, thyroid disease and other conditions that impact health. Her patients come from all over the United States. She sees patients in person or by phone consultation. She also teaches her popular seminars for doctors, workshops for laypeople and webinars entitled, Down to the BONE! What is a Certified Clinical (bone) Densitometrist (C.C.D.). The International Society of Bone Densitometry awards the C.C.D. certification to those who have demonstrated a mastery of an approved body of knowledge in osteoporosis diagnosis though bone density testing including; DXA and CT scans, peripheral x-ray and ultrasound devices. A CCD is required to demonstrate proficiency in reading and analyzing bone density test results, bone related lab work and medications used to treat osteoporosis. She was the first alternative doctor to be awarded this certification.

  1. My husband was diagnosed with vascular necrosis. His femur is 1/2 dead along with the ball that fits into hip joint. He is in extreme pain. They want to inject him with a kind of substance that acts like a cement. Help How can we make his bone stronger? We would like not to have a hip replacement. Thank you
